Our Mission
Every year lakhs of aspiring youngsters appear for SSB interview with dreams in their eyes to don the uniform and serve the most respectable and admirable organisation in our country: our armed forces. However, due to lack of knowledge, understanding and proper guidance regarding the tests conducted during the 5 days of the SSB process, most of the youngsters are unable to fulfill their dream.
At Armed Wings SSB Academy, it is our endeavour to provide an indepth understanding and knowledge of the evaluation pattern of the various tests conducted during SSB interview so that it maximises the possibility of the candidate getting recommended. In order to achieve our goal of getting the candidate recommended we have designed a very scientific curriculum, the details of which are given below, and we keep a batch of not more than 15-20 candidates so that personal attention is given to each candidate.
For psychology tests we conduct a session on a daily basis. For WAT, candidates are given a set of minimum 10 words. Candidates are required to submit responses on those words. A thorough feedback is given to each candidate about the inference which will be drawn about them by the assessor based on the sentence written. This is followed by suggestions regarding model sentences which will impress the assessor. Our book titled ‘How To Master Word Association Test’ is available on amazon for those interested in buying and reading it. Shortly, it will be available on our website as well. Similarly, for SRT, a set of 10 situations are given to the candidates everyday. Candidates are required to submit responses on those situations. A thorough feedback is given to each candidate about the inference which will be drawn about them by the assessor based on the response submitted. This is followed by suggestions regarding model sentences which will impress the assessor. For TAT, 1 image is shown to the candidates. Candidates are required to write a story on it and submit it the next day. A detailed and thorough feedback is given to the candidates about the story written by them and what will be the inference drawn about them by the assessor based on the story. This is followed by suggestions on how the story can be improved. Every candidates SD is prepared personally by me after getting a good understanding about all the important aspects of the candidate’s life. The videos of our psychology sessions which are posted on our website and also on our YouTube, Facebook and Instagram page will help you get a good understanding of the teaching methodology.
For interview, we divide the rounds and content of interview into different segments like family, friends, army/airforce/navy and career, education, hobbies and interests, daily routine, expenses and icebreakers. Rather than taking just 1 round of interview covering all the segments, candidate is encouraged to prepare any 2 segments for one round of interview. This way candidate gets a good and deep understanding of each segment and is very well prepared for the overall process of the interview. Candidates staying for 2 weeks are encouraged to sit for atleast 2 rounds of interview, and prepare any 2 segments of interview for each of those 2 rounds. When preparing the interview schedule, it is ensured that no 2 candidates prepare the same segments on the same day. This way maximum segments of interview get covered everyday and it helps all the candidates learn and strengthen their own interview preparation.
For PPDT, time bound practice is taken every alternate day. Whenever needed, more rounds are taken during the week. A very detailed and thorough feedback is given to each candidate about the quality of the story in comparison to the image as well as about the body language and content during the discussion.
For GD, there are 2 rounds taken every week.
Every alternate day, lecturette rounds are conducted in a time bound manner. Videos of our lecturette sessions are uploaded on our YouTube, Facebook and Instagram pages and will give you a clear idea about how lecturette rounds are conducted at our academy.
For GPE, there are 2 rounds conducted every week. The 2nd round is a revision. This helps candidates learn how the solution is to be written and how a candidate needs to conduct himself during the discussion.
There is nothing more joyful than seeing our students get recommended. Without any exaggeration, the quality, content and methodology we use cannot be matched by anybody else or any other academy. As such, it is our endeavour to prepare every candidate in the best and most meticulous manner possible. I hope you will join us and together we will be able to work towards fulfilling your dream of donning the uniform and becoming a commissioned officer in our armed forces!
Wishing you the very best for your future endeavours!
